Free Roam VR Perth – Immersive Virtual Reality Experiences

VR Perth experiences are approx 30-50 minutes depending on the selected game and your skill level. With our full length games, you get to decide on 1 game for your experience. If you want more of a variety, you can choose up to 3 shorter games, as long as it doesn’t exceed 50 mins total. Some of our full length games cannot be mixed with shorter games, such as After The Fall, Arizona Sunshine and Ghost Patrol. Escape room games can take a while to complete, so allow a full session for Mansion of Death, Eclipse & Greenium.

Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can have time to run through induction before your VR Perth session time. If you haven’t pre-selected the game you want to play and we need to work this out prior to your session start time, then please come 30 minutes early. It’s strongly advised to watch the game trailers and decide before coming, but we can guide you on the day if you’re really unsure.

To avoid disappointment we strongly suggest to book. Yes we do accept walk-ins, however this may not be possible during busy periods.

It depends on the game. There are a few games that are 8+ years, while many are 13+. The age limit will depend on the parents discretion to expose their child to potentially unsuitable content. Any players under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult who is also booked into the session as a player.

Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian attend with them and sign the waiver.

No you cannot, as under 18’s can’t sign legal documents such as our waiver.

It’s recommended to wear contact lenses. Slim frame glasses may be OK, however large frame glasses will cause problems with pressure between the headset, glasses and your face. If in doubt, visit our location beforehand to try on the headset with your glasses. We do not refund sessions if glasses don’t fit with our headsets.

Stiletto’s, work boots, flippers, thongs and slippers aren’t a good choice. Wear some comfortable walking shoes.

We can accommodate a maximum of 6 players at once, but can rotate your party in groups of 6. Maybe larger groups would also like to give our racing simulators a spin? grab a combo deal!

You won’t need to worry about feeling dizzy or queasy. Our entire setup is built to provide a fully immersive experience without the nausea that sometimes comes with VR. Since you’re actively moving through a spacious environment, your body naturally stays in sync with what you see, avoiding the usual virtual reality disorientation.

Only a tiny fraction of guests have ever needed to stop due to motion discomfort. A higher percentage of customers get motion sick in the racing simulators due to several factors that differ to free-roam VR.

We know things don’t always go to plan, and we’ll try to be as flexible as possible. However, all guests must arrive by the session start time. There’s only a short window to get everyone set up and into the VR experience, and late arrivals can disrupt not only your group but also the session scheduled after yours. Since everyone needs to begin together, your group may be delayed and have less time to play if you’re not on time.

If you think you might be late, please call ahead so we can potentially move your booking to a time that suits you better. If we cannot move it, then your session is at risk of being voided with no refund.

Please note that late arrivals may not be able to participate. If you are allowed to join at the discretion of our staff, your session will be much shorter—potentially only a few minutes—and you may miss key instructions, which can make the experience confusing and less enjoyable.

You can use our game selector to identify age appropriate games. The challenge is that an age appropriate game for an 8-10 year old may seem very boring for an 11-14 year old and there’s very limited games that are suitable for the 8-10 age bracket.  8-10 year olds have a limited attention span and problem solving skills, so it’s hard to get them into an Escape Room game with older children. The game selection is a decision the parent will have to make to either select a game that suits the younger child that the whole family plays, or select a more mature game that may have use of guns, gore or violence, or more mature problem solving skills – or,  (not ideal) leave the younger child out. VRACE are currently working on releasing games so we can have the younger child playing a separate game to the older siblings, with everyone playing “something” at the same time in the same arena.
